Jarrod Currey spent 17 years handling auto claims at one of the nation's largest captive carriers. He saw firsthand what happens when a claim goes smoothly — and what happens when it doesn't. After over two decades in the industry, he realized he wanted to be on the client's side of the desk, not the carrier's. So in 2025, he launched Jarrod Currey Insurance Agency Inc in Lakeland, Florida. The idea was simple: take everything he learned from the inside — the claims process, the coverage gaps most people miss, the questions nobody thinks to ask — and use it to build something better. We're not a legacy agency running on tradition. We're a new agency built on experience. Clean, modern, tech-forward — and backed by someone who actually knows what happens after you file a claim. That's the difference.

Hurricane Season Prep That Actually Paid Off

The situation: A homeowner in Lakeland had been with a captive agency for years and never had their policy properly reviewed. When they came to us before hurricane season, we found their dwelling coverage was significantly below what it would actually cost to rebuild — and they had no flood insurance despite being in a moderate-risk zone.

What happened: We restructured their homeowners policy with proper dwelling limits, added flood coverage, and secured wind mitigation credits that offset most of the premium increase.
